My baby girl

Zoey slept for the most of the night last night finally thanks to daddy giving her 4 oz of a bottle at 2am! Since she slept for most of the night, I woke up this morning and had to pump for the first time. It went well for my first time and so I was very happy about that. I gave her the bottle of breast milk I pumped and she was still hungry! She is definitely a growing girl! After I fed her, she surprisingly went down for a nap! Which actually was good because I was able to take a shower and eat lunch!

She is such a great baby. The only time she cries is when she is hungry or needs changing and she has only spit up once in her life which I am grateful for! She loves listening to music and she likes it loud! Which is good because daddy likes to play his music loud!

Tomorrow Joe and I are going to see the new James Bond movie with my dad and brothers and my mom and sisters get to babysit. It will only be the second time I have left my baby girl and I know im going to miss her like crazy! But it will be nice to get out with my husband and he promised me that soon he will take me out just me and him for some bonding time just us again! I can't wait!

I can't wait for Thanksgiving. She will get to wear her first dress and I just can't wait to dress her up! I also can't wait because I finally will be able to get dressed up and get out of the house for a day with Joe and Zoey! This will be the first time Zoey has gone out with mommy and daddy other than the doctors offices!

Well she is waking up now so I better go get her and love her up!

Zoey was born November 3, 2008 at 7:59pm by C-Section. She weighed 6 lbs 10 oz and was 19 inches long. She is now 6 lbs 7 oz at last check up. She gets more beautiful everyday. Even though I had to go through a c-section and am still sore, she is so worth it.
She is now sleeping about 4 hours at a time at night and I am giving her a bottle or two a day so now Joe can help out feeding her so we now have a routine. I feel much better knowing she is gaining weight and that she is getting enough milk between me and the bottle.
She still doesn't fit too well in any of her clothes but luckily my mother got her a cuddly brown fleece that she fits in and loves so for right now we just have to wash that outfit and stick it back on her to keep her warm! Also we have onesies that fit so we just bundle her up in blankets and put the onesies on her! I am sure she will grow and be big before we know it!
She is so strong. She can already lift her head up and turn it to either side. Her legs are so strong, I swear she will be standing up and walking before we know it. She also seems to want to bite a lot so I have a feeling she will have a tooth before we know it just like I did when I was a baby.
Well thats all for now!

Finally

(Assuming I do not go into labor in the next oh 20 hours)... Finally, tomorrow is the big day! I get to meet my beautiful baby girl tomorrow. Hopefully the labor will be quick and not to painful- yeah right!

I am nervous and very anxious and excited about the whole thing. I can't wait to see, hold, kiss, and hug my baby girl. I highly doubt I will get much sleep tonight seeing how anxious I am about tomorrow.

Hard to believe that my whole world and my family's will change drastically in the next 24 hours. I will be a mother, Joe will be a father, and our nights of sleeping straight through the night will be gone for a while. I can't wait!

Well next time I post on this blog I will be a mother and will be posting pictures of my beautiful baby girl! I am so excited!

Waiting

Zoey is not here yet. I am scheduled to be induced on Monday at 6:00am if she does not come before then. I am so sick of being pregnant. I can't sleep because I can't get comfortable with my big belly and I'd much rather not sleep because im up with Zoey. I can't wait to be able to get comfortable and lay on my belly and back and be able to get up fast without this big belly!

I feel very sore and keep waiting for my contractions to come consistently and get more painful. I am ready to be in pain and push my baby girl out!

Hopefully I will be able to post pictures and blog about my beautiful baby girl soon, at the very least Tuesday or Wednesday I will have pics up and be bragging about my wonderful baby girl!

Joe & Emily

Me and my husband Joe at Starved Rock

Waiting & Grateful

Still waiting for Zoey to come. At the most, I have 10 days left since, if worse comes to worse, I will be induced Monday November 3rd at 6:00am. Getting very impatient and feeling miserable. I'm with my mom on the fact that I love babies and kids, but hate being pregnant. I am sure I will have more children and do this all over again just like she did, but I'm not planning on being pregnant again for a while!

Very grateful for a helpful, caring husband who does everything for me and waits on me hand and foot. Also, very glad for wonderful parents. Wouldn't be so calm if it wasn't for Joe and my mom and dad.

Well, I'm going to bed to put up my swollen feet and relax my aching back.
